Morning Common People!

Well what can we say. Our biggest show to date in the capital of all things indie and you didn’t disappoint!

A huge thank you to all of you for coming and partying with us, it was great to see such a mix of friendly faces and new people on the dancefloor. Thanks also for the team at The Electric Ballroom for hosting us.

We’ll update you all with the charity donation to The Pirate Castle l once we know it. Pics to come, but in the meantime feel free to add your own in the comments.

This is going to take a while to come down from, but we’re not resting, new event (in a new town) coming soon!

Happy Mondays Common People of St Albans!

Huge thanks to everyone who came to our 5th Birthday Party on Saturday hope you all had as much fun as we did. And for those of you who managed to get a birthday present hopefully you enjoyed it (who doesn’t like free beer)

Thanks as always to the excellent team at The Pioneer Club – Music and The Suet Yard for your help and support.

We’ve got plenty of photos over the years so for this post we want you to add your own so if you were there on Saturday or have been there any other Saturday over the past five years then please add your pics below. We’ll start you off with a photo of our shiny new blue plaque!

Happy #charitytuesday Common People!

Thanks again to everyone who came along to our sell out night on the 11th November and enabled us to make a lovely charity donation of £625!

This time we decided to choose a charity that is very close to home, both spiritually and physically, The Pioneer Club (cic)!

This money will go towards helping both The Pioneer Club – Music and The Pioneer Club – Skatepark develop and maintain their amazing work within the community!

Charity is a huge part of who we are and what we do, and we wouldn’t be able to make these sorts of donations without you all coming and packing the dancefloor, so thanks again we really appreciate it!

Not really sure if there are any adjectives suitable to describe Saturday night, none of them will do it justice!

We’re constantly blown away by you guys and this time was no exception!

Not only did you sell out the event, you also sold out the Cloakroom! So a huge shout out of thanks to Cloakroom team for coping so well on an exceptionally busy night.

Thanks also to the team at The Pioneer Club – Music for helping the night run smoothly, the DJs for keeping the dancefloor full and the front of house for getting you all in in good time!

Let’s do it all again next year!

It’s the collaboration you’ve all been waiting for. The best night out in St Albans have teamed up with the best day out in St Albans…….

We’re delighted to be working with St Albans City Football Club on a great deal for both sets of ticket holders!

If you have bought a ticket for our St Albans 90s/00s indie night this Saturday (11th November) then simply show that ticket at the turnstiles and get entry to the Saints match against Tonbridge Angels the same day for only £5 (Usually £16.50)!

Similarly if you have a ticket for the match or are a season ticket holder and want to come and join us on the dancefloor then show your matchday ticket or season ticket on the door for £5 off the on the door price making it £10 instead of £15 (subject to availability).

Alternatively guarantee your spot on the dancefloor by booking now

Just one week to go until our indie battle lands at The Maltings, Ely riverside and we’re starting to get excited!

Big thanks to the Ely Standard for featuring us this week (page 23 if your interested)
Also, it’s not just a music battle. We’re bringing the 90s V 00s battle to our pop up bar too. Alongside 90s indie stalwart Red Stripe you’ll also find the 00s iconic drink Smirnoff Ice!

Afternoon Common People of St Albans!

We’re excited to be teaming up with the great guys at Empire Records St Albans on a couple of interesting collaborations.

The first is happening next Thursday (5th October) when we will be taking to the decks alongside Eddie at their next vinyl night at Mad Squirrel Tap St.Albans spinning some 90s and 00s indie for your listening pleasure!

So if you can’t wait until November for your fill of indie then come and join us, oh and it’s free!

The second……….. you’ll just have to wait and see
